REPUBLIC INDIA, 20 Rupees - Major Cutting/Extra Paper Error, Mahatma Gandhi (Old) Series, D. Subbarao (2008–2013). 

An Extra Paper / Cutting Error. This occurs when the large sheets of currency notes are misaligned in the cutting machine or if a corner of the sheet folds over before the blades descend. It results in a note that exceeds the standard dimensions and often contains portions of the neighboring note or the blank border of the sheet. These notes are often referred to by collectors as "Butterfly notes".
